Titleist on top at the old course as Oosthuizen takes control to claim 139th open championship. Seven stroke Open Championship victory for Pro V1 player Louis Oosthuizen as Titleist is the #1 ball for 31st consecutive year.
South African Louis Oosthuizen (Pro V1x) claimed the 139th Open Championship around the Old Course St. Andrews in a marvellous display of controlled and precision golf. The Pro V1x loyalist claimed the coveted Claret Jug by seven strokes from fellow Pro V1x player Lee Westwood, shooting a near flawless 71 to finish with a 272 total. The 27 year old became the fourth South African to claim the Open Championship by increasing his overnight 4 shot lead to an unassailable 7 stroke winning margin, the second highest winning margin ever in Championship history.
In a week that saw the most accomplished field in world golf gather to compete around the most recognisable golf course in the world, Titleist was the most resounding choice of golf ball with 90 players from a field of 156 choosing either Pro V1 or Pro V1x. The impressive tally of Titleist loyalists shadowed the nearest competitor (20) with more than four times their total and more than all other golf balls combined, ensuring that Titleist was the #1 ball at The Open Championships for the 31st consecutive year.

At the top of the leaderboard, Oosthuizen and Westwood were joined by fellow Pro V1x players Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson in the top five. Full line Titleist player McIlory recovered impressively after a tough second day to finish in a tie for third. McIlroy was playing a full bag of Titleist clubs including a 909D2 driver, 909F3 and 906F2 fairway metals, MB irons, Vokey Design wedges and Scotty Cameron Newport Fastback putter. The winner of the Amateur Silver medal was also using a full bag of Titleist equipment including Pro V1x, 909D3 driver, 909F3 fairway metal, AP2 irons, Vokey Design wedges, Scotty Cameron Coronado putter, to record an impressive top 15 finish. Across the entire field Titleist was the top choice in the iron (37) and wedge (110) categories.
Elsewhere Titleist Brand Ambassador Aaron Goldberg (Pro V1x,) captured his first Canadian Tour title at the Players Cup by one stroke. Oosthuizen and Goldberg’s victories boosted Titleist worldwide win count to 71, more than four times that of the nearest competitor with 16.
Another Major victory for the legendary Pro V1x and yet another Open ball count majority for Titleist provides further proof, that at the highest level, the game’s elite choose Titleist above all others.

2011/2012 UNIVERSAL PREDICTIONS
Check the predictions on TV show too from http://cosmiccode7.ning.com/video/dr-louis-turi-universal-1
IMPORTANT NOTE: While my predictions are available to the general public, one in particular reffering to a “very large California earthquake” as expected, has been used indiscriminately by some people using my indisputable record of predictions. The timing (June/December) is correct but I need more time and more channeling to confirm the location and year. These crucial predictions were supposed to be kept confidential as far as location are concerned not to alarm the population so please trust ONLY my source and my “SOS To The World” Windows regularly posted at Cosmic Code http://cosmiccode7.ning.com/
They are a lot of famous so-called psychics and astrologers out there but I am the ONLY ONE in the entire world that offers fully documented and dated predictions on MySpace, Facebook, Twitter and many other popular websites.

Many famous psychics make predictions that supposed to take place sometime “in the future” but my readers can appreciate my timing and dated prognistications much more. Don’t let those who have a name fool you or let you believe they are better to offer you by charging you a fortune for their service when they DONT. Use common sense and logic when requesting anyone’ services. Psychic accidents are very real and unless you have solid proofs or their talent do not offer them with your fragile psyche. Before engaging with any psychic, astrologer or medium Click Here and First Read This Thoughtfully
NOTE: Many people emailed me wondering why my predictions are so depressing. First it seems that people tend to remember negativity better than positivism, but understand that I am NOT responsible for the world’s ignorance and its misfortune. 99% of the world’s leaders and the masses in the name of ignorance or religious poisoning are totally unacquainted to the Universal laws. Simply imagine going shopping and completely ignore all stop signs and red lights on your way and see what happen to you.
Not knowing and omitting the Cosmic Code or God’s Celestial rules is NOT a valuable excuse and the penalty is very real. DO NOT BLAME ME for not respecting those regulations instead brings forth your own cosmic consciousness so that YOU do NOT become a victim. As much as I can point out drama in my predictions; when I perform a live VIP or a 90 MN taped Full Life Reading I focus much more on the positive impact than the negative outcome. I also teach you those implacable laws so that you do not become a victim. You have a choice, I made mine and live a more safe and productive life. “Ignorance is evil knowledge is power” mess up with the Cosmic Code ignore the “signs” and pay the heavy penalty!
“Man is superior to the stars if he lives in the power of superior wisdom. Such a person being the master over heaven and earth by means of his will is a magus and magic is not sorcery but supreme wisdom”

It is imperative for the reader to acknowledge that my methodology is totally unique, well ahead of conventional psychology and Psychiatry accepted disciplines. Dr. Turi’s expertise is utterly scientifically oriented where a similar software used by NASA is utilized to accurately “read” potential terrorists criminals and the common person using the Cosmic Code jurisdictions. Dr. Turi’s Halloran software is also used to help our courageous Law Enforcement officers in need of guidance or spiritual encouragement. Again, I do not predict anything, I am not a psychic and all I am trying to do is to make you aware that unseen powerful forces are at work. We all know, the weather, calamities, history and the news REPEAT themselves and I happen to know the exact timing.
Channeling The Greatest Prophet Of All Times “Michel De Notre Dame”

The new transiting Dragon (already in action) DEMANDS the world to cooperate and communicate in a Universal manner. This draconic energy will force a general restructure of ALL FORMS OF COMMUNICATIONS; this includes the printed spoken words, magazines, newspapers, radios the wood/paper industry forcing a new “Universal” electronic means of communication. This “Act Of God” will allow the world to reach a “liberal” wider type of education preparing humankind for greater changes in communication/education as we approach the year 2012.

A few years ago the human race and Mother Earth experienced a “fire” dragon producing serious heat waves and firestorms (California/Australia fires) producing over 15000 deaths in France. Click here
Back in 2004 we experienced a “water” Dragon producing a series of deadly hurricanes “predicted to the day on Coast To Coast AM radio with George Noory” and the devastating Asia tsunami. Note also, every one of these calamities were fully predicted in my yearly Moon Power publications. You may check what I wrote for the Asia Tsunami back in 2004 and check my claims.Click here
As you read my well documented, dated set of predictions you will also notice the prediction of the Full restructure of the secret Agency FBI/CIA and of course, 911 including the prediction of the US economy to name a few.
We are fast moving to an “AIR” dragon that will have the “weather man” wondering what the heck is going on and all the fire fighters on their toes.

Update: December 3rd, 2010: –Haifa, Israel (CNN) — Police said Friday that they suspect arson in the wildfire that has killed at least 41 people and injured 17 in northern Israel over the past two days.Changing winds made the fight against the fire very difficult. Officials called the wildfire, which had scorched more than 7,400 acres and continued to burn, the worst in the nation’s history.
I see quite a lot of tornadoes; wind storms, sand storms, fire storms stopping traffic (check 2011 Moon power Supernova windows for most impact) and such a “wind” activity can only make the upcoming hurricane “season” a very busy one. Again do not expect the NWS or science at large to remotely understand the inner workings of the Cosmic Code or God’ sign plaguing the world in the year 2011 until August 2012.
Update: November 23rd, 2010: CNN – Midwest hit hard by extreme winds, flash floods
Update: December 2nd, 2010: — Shifting winds from the storm front that is moving through the eastern United States produced heavy snow has shut down Interstate 90 near Buffalo, New York, leaving motorists stranded for more than 12 hours as of Thursday morning, with more snow on the way.
Then as of August 2010 we will be on for an interesting dance where all the forces of EVIL will battle the force of LIGHT! This is where it will pay off to become a VIP Cosmic Code subscriber and be prepared! I am fully aware of the current state of the economy and I am doing my very best by offering samples of my Cosmic Code Newsletter for free to the public and as the economy improve, if you are into my work you will have to become a VIP to read more of my predictions. I indeed did much more than anyone else in this field for my readers by offering my book Moon Power and my VIP newsletters for FREE for too long and like everything else this is now over. I understand the financial situation of people produced by this terrible economy but the reality is when you offer too much for free people tend to expect more and do not realize how valuable (if not priceless) REAL predictions really are and lose interest. But once my works disappear from your mailbox you will then realize how important my work and I were in your life. You must realize how, at 60 years old I am now very tired and my terrible experience with cancer made me aware how precious life really is. I guess I chose working 24 / 7 for you instead of going fishing and enjoying what is left of my life with my new wife Terania but how long this will last? One day I will have to slow down and write only for my VIP’s because they have invested in me and trusted my work.
Continued – On a more positive note I see an explosion of electrical wind mills, new water/air car technology and a mind bohggling 3D photography technology but serious challenges still for the general printing industry and associates.
2011 Jupiter / Mercury Impact
America, born July 4th 1776, will receive the Dragon’s Tail on her 12th house as of March 2011 forcing a total re-structure of the working force and its basic physical organizations. On a spiritual US / world meaning this dragon will induce a serious increase in mental problems (dementia/depressions/schizophrenia etc.) where medications will make the situation worse. Expect dramatic news and a serious increase involving suicides.
Update July 7th, 2010:
Dr.Turi:
Two months ago I believe there were 72 – last month I reported 80 (?) if my memory serves me.I just pulled up the stats for the same area for the 8/7 to 9/7 time frame. Unbelievable! 122 lost souls took their lives! This should confirm to all your prediction of more suicides. Have others check their areas. And our poor officers who have to roll up on these day after day must be taking its toll as well.
Blessings,
Susan K.

Continued – Many victims will be a portion of the religious poisoned mass awaiting the “end of times.” Our infantile science will be at loss wondering why the weakened human spirit became so lost and desperate so fast. To make the situation worse, the prescribed medications will be channeled by the nefarious Mercurial dragon into the human respiratory system producing numerous fatalities. Much of the investigations and scientific findings will be kept secret but in time will come to light. Remember 2 years ago when I predicted the Dragon was aiming for famous people and their children? Time has proven me right with this prediction too as we lost a record of famous people and children last 2 years. (see 2009 Universal Predictions long list.Click here
I see the real estate booming again, as the country infrastructure is changing . The old road / signal / bridges systems will be replaced by “round points”, the stock market will experience a slow but sure recovery especially in July / June and January / December 2010/2011. A US state city will suffer a natural disaster bringing millions to surrounding states, especially Arizona. This calamity will take place during one of my SOS Deadly Uranic / Moonic or Plutonic Window.

I see a serious terrorist gas attack and/or a pulmonary diseases coming from birds or poultry. This Mercurial energy aims for the birds and will manifest its negative power in the air and water (MX predicted oil spill).
OH SAYS CAN YOU SEE GOD’SIGNS?
Five thousand blackbirds died in Arkansas. One hundred pelicans died near Jacksonville, North Carolina. Three hundred doves died in Italy. Seventy bats in died Tucson, Arizona. Thousands of fish died in Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Sweden, Brazil and the United States.
Update: January 4th 2011: – Thousands of birds fell from the sky after Midnight New Year Eve in Arkansas.
Read more from “Dead Birds Don’t Talk!” published 01/04/2011 – Click here
Continued:I also see the worse aeronautical disaster and this is why it is important to plan in respect of the Universal Laws of the Moon found in all my Moon Power books. Again the “energy” will manifest itself during a Supernova window and after any of the 2011 full moon.
Like the 2010 version, the new 2011 Moon Power (eBook) will be offered for FREE when you sign for your 2011 VIP Cosmic Code subscription.
The US financial situation will see serious improvement as we move on into the year 2011/12. Back in December 2007 I prepared the world for what would become the current crisis with US economy and gave the date of March 2011 for its end. It seems I was yet, once again right as we approach the end of 2010. Jupiter impact will force Mexico, Spain, Portugal and all Latino countries to undergo a total change of regime where bloody revolutions will take many lives. I see a form of “revolution” in the US too around July 2010 where politicians will battle with themselves and the media to get reelected. The finger of evil is pointed at the US around July 2010 and I can only hope to be wrong in the upcoming disturbance and / or calamity.
The new administration is doing all in its power to control the abusive unconcerned greedy capitalist’s corporations and our President is a target for assassination by self absorbed groups. I see President Obama doing serious work in foreign land resuscitating the US image to the world. But I see him also in danger while flying Air Force One. I see a lot of bad press against him with caricatures and jokes that will vex many. The President is writing a book (secret) that express the depth of his wishes and fears, his hopes and wishes for his country and the world at large, knowing *subconsciously he is a serious target for assassination. One of his children will make difficult news and the first Lady will get sick (or contract a disease) and will be forced to rest (June/December 2010/2011)
Parts of the world (even a US city) will suffer seriously due to food shortage/medications as mother earth restructures her entrails right under it. Helping the victims will become a serious challenge due to the total destruction of the local infrastructure. Let’s hope this “vision” is far from materializing as I also see danger with wild animals running free. Expect the worse during the Full and New Moon of June/December 2011 as Jupiter and Mercury will make hard aspects to other destructive planets. England is a Capricorn country and will undergo the same changes where many of the members of Royal family will experience dramatic experiences. The Royal family may also suffer a death by malady or accident. UK residents will find themselves jobless bringing more stress to the government and its political decisions. This impact will resonate in Australia, India and other countries who have a strong connection with the UK.
Update November 21st, 2010 – In Birmingham, a UK city hit hard even before the recession and one that displays many of the tensions experienced across Europe, suspicion and hostility toward asylum seekers, especially Muslims, is much in evidence.
The century’s old man made King/Queen status and its entire snobby privilege selected children will see the beginning of a crumble induced by the humanitarian “all equals” energetic pull of the New Age of Aquarius. November 18th 2010 – CNN – Royal engagement reveals less deferential, more meritocratic Britain.
On a more personal note all souls born in June and December or those born with a rising in any of these signs will undergo a full restructure of their lives. The Jupiter/Mercury impact will affect general relationships and partnerships at large. Affairs involving brothers/sisters could become also a source of conflict or worse produce fatalities. Accidents could take place driving or in foreign lands be cautious. use moon power or pay the price like millions of people victims of the Icelandic volcano. My family arrived safe and sound and in time a day before the eruption; it pays to know and use God’ signs. I see the 2011 “Supernova Windows” to be particularly deadly, thus its a little investment with my book or a heavy price to pay.
Remember the last one printed in Moon Power produced the Icelandic volcano grounding millions of people. The WIND carrying the volcanic particles was the “signal” I was waiting for ; to make you aware of the new Dragon , it is already in motion and will plague this world even more in 2011. Where ever this Jupiter/Mercury impact is in your own natal chart, (combined with the new Dragon’s Head and Tail) you can indeed expect very serious positive/negative changes. There are people who would rather ignore God’ signs than to seek help with my services and avoid future catastrophes.
Vote for the ‘politics of hope NOT the politics of fear!
Remember knowledge is power, ignorance is evil and using the Cosmic Code at your advantage is the main reason why God created the stars and the heavens; TO BE USED AS SIGNS! Ask and you shall receive… A smooth operator, a concerned priest, a soft spoken or gentile psychic will perceive your fears and your needs to hear only good things. But doing so may only assure him/her your $ $ $ $ return but you will surely lose in the long run. Remember the truth never intended to please anyone and often the truth hurt! Sugar coating readings are not only futile but dangerous and will live you unprepared, especially if your psychic is depraved of Cosmic Consciousness. When I do a reading I will insist on passing on BOTH the good and bad news, because I will give you also the potential dates for any tragedy (EVIL) that could get to you. Armed with such timed reality will permit you to be much more cautious and even advise those you care to AVOID the tragedy.
Read this… Linda May 6, 2010 at 11:34pm – Subject: Happy Mother’s Day!!!!
Dr. Turi, you are right again…I just lost my beautiful nephew this morning to lung cancer and life sucks right now….the cosmic code waits for “no one”….and as the world turns, so do we….you predicted a “death” in my twelve month reading and I was hoping it wasn’t so….he was so young Dr. Turi.
DT – I am so sorry for your loss Linda and my heart goes to you…Jeff is in a place where we all will meet one day and he is now your guardian angel.
Blessings
DT
But in reality this “death” did not have to happen, yes it did not have to! Had Jeff known his relationship to the divine, his dragon the physical weakness of his karmic UCI, chances are he would have had enough information to BEAT death. I would have counseled him appropriately and told him where EVIL was hidden in his body, mind and spirit and from there guide him in the light, in the right direction before it became too late for him. But that is the problem with people who would rather live in denial and in the dark hoping for a God’s protection they do not know, cannot hear or see. The disease that killed Jeff was inside me too but I beat it off…
I know now the reasons of “attracting” this evil physically and emotionally and corrected myself since then as to keep it away from me for good. A few years ago when Jeff’s body and spirit were much stronger I could have made the difference but Jeff did not know me. Call it fate…But you know me and facing your fears of the future and letting me perform a spiritual MRI, a spiritual cleansing on your UCI *Unique Celestial Identity could make the entire difference between living a happy, healthy successful life or stay into ignorance and may God be with you. When you’ll be ready for me I will be there for you but again be sure that I will let you know when the road could be rocky for you and what to do to avoid it well before this nasty trail comes around the corner.Click here
The current Dragon has been operational since last August 2009 and will not change sign until March 2011 then the Jupiter Mercury impact will take over. Many of 2009 predictions have yet to come to pass.

With the rise of men’s market, luxury retailer of men began to launch its own series of stores, from the sale will be an atmosphere and aesthetic distinction between men and women.
Earlier this month, Hermes Madison Avenue in New York opened its first men’s shop. The store area 2450 square feet, interior resembles a traditional tailor. At the same time, Ralph Lauren plans to transform RhinelanderMansion year flagship store, clothing and accessories for men. Coach handbags brand high-end market will be 5 to open in mid-Bleecker Street, a new men’s store.
Ocean on the other side is also undergoing a similar thing: luxury brand Lanvin in Paris in September 2008 closed Lundunbangde Street women’s clothing store, while the famous St. Xavier Street, tailor opened a men’s shop in the region. Vivienne Westwood men’s shop in Tokyo, after the success, but also in the Conduit Street, opened a new men’s store. Last year, Louis Vuitton men’s clothing department at Harrods renovation next opened a separate men’s store.
Pairs of Hermes, the new male-based store will sell everything. Artistic director of the brand product Veronique Nichanian men explained: “We want to show Hermes for men to build a complete world, through the clothes, shoes, bags, boxes.” Coach North American retail president, Mike Tucci, said their new men’s store is a ” laboratory, where we could carefully selected for the next series of experiments to do. ”
Needless to say, the purpose of opening these stores, not just for men selflessly to create a better shopping environment. These men’s luxury brand stores as untapped market segment. According to market research firm Euromonitor say, even in the mature markets of luxury goods, such as the United States and Britain, in the past five years, sales of men’s designer clothing is the women’s double the growth rate, while the men’s retail market in the Far East is the world’s most powerful. Korean women in luxury goods, for example, from 2005 to 2009 period, an increase of 7%, while the male market, the figure is 48%.
For trend prediction LS: NGlobal editor Max Reyner said: “Men like Women affected by economic crisis, as relatively large, it is still great potential.” But men still need to cater to. “To create such a place, similar to the gentlemen’s club, all dark wood, there is no trendy music, they can freely take the time to ‘grazing’.”
To create a unique male shopping environment, more like the men back to the store, rather than leave their shopping on the Internet. According to PayPal’s survey, the British men in the first half last year’s online more than women, per capita consumption of 672 pounds. Beginning in 2006, the men began to online shopping at an average annual increase rate of 839,000 people. Christopher Colfer, CEO of Dunhill, said men’s apparel and accessories market has expanded, this increase in the number and series are also related. Dunhill’s Mayfair store (gentlemen’s club) BourdonHouse2008 opened, providing male clothing and gadgets, leather goods, as well as spa, hair salon, as well as the private screening room. The company plans to open next month in Hong Kong, a similar “home.” Although the economy is still in recovery, the shop’s business better than expected. Colfer said: “Our lease is 130 years, so we have to come from a long-term plan.”
Investigation Agency Milton Pedraza, CEO of Luxury Institute is that men are luxury stores, such as the development of Bourdon House is a luxury industry has become increasingly concerned about the service is all about. He said: “These stores represent the opportunity to provide a superior customer experience.” Pedraza said, and women do not like men not like so much shopping, so the brand must work harder to please them. “Men are accustomed to luxury consumer acceptance of expert services, such as their tailor.”

Hudson, Wisconsin (population 11,913) is a typical Midwestern river town. Snuggled alongside the St. Croix River, the boundary that separates Wisconsin and Minnesota, the historic downtown area spans approximately six blocks, running from the SSG gas station at Second and Coulee Road on the southern edge up to Art Doyle’s Spokes and Pedals, just north of Second and Locust.
Of course, the little town has its share of Dairy Queens, KFCs, and Best Westerns, but there’s also a Dibbo’s Cafe & Bar, an Idaho Chuck’s Santa Fe Grill & Cantina, and the aforesaid Art Doyle’s bike shop. Trendy boutique shops–Abigail Page Antiques, Back to Books, Elan, and many more–enhance Hudson’s walkability and allure.
Like many other small towns in the Midwest, Hudson is almost entirely white–Caucasians make up 98 percent of the population; well educated–95 percent have at least a high school education; and safe—on a scale of one to 10, with one being the lowest, Hudson’s violent crime rate is two. Indeed, during the past eight years, the city has recorded only seven murders.
Hudson is where Claire and Betty Erickson went to high school, married, raised their four children, and prospered over the years. Claire was the founder of the Erickson Oil/Freedom convenience store chain. His 800 employees work in stations sprinkled around small towns from Wisconsin to South Dakota.
Perched on a bluff overlooking the sparkling St. Croix, 1003 Crest View Drive in Hudson is where Claire and Betty lived for 51 years and where they raised their four children. 1003 Crest View Drive also is where Claire spent nearly a thousand days and nights caring tenderly for Betty, gradually descending into the misty gloom of Alzheimer’s, and where, sometime during the night of March 24th, Claire shot Betty to death and turned the gun on himself.
Although their children and grandchildren were aware that they had become less active in recent months, the Ericksons celebrated their 60th anniversary with them in Florida on March 18th. During one of their talks, Claire told his son, David, that he’d been experiencing vertigo for several weeks, and that he was “tired” and “weary.” What worried David was something else Claire told him: “You know, if anything ever happens to me, your mother will have to go into a home, because she cannot take care of herself.”
David, concerned, convinced Claire to let him drive them back to Wisconsin. They started out early on the 24th, and arrived in Hudson mid-evening. The following morning, at about 10:30, their daughter and her husband found Claire and Betty lying in bed, dressed in their pajamas, looking “peaceful.”
“I have no doubt what he did was out of love for the three of us siblings,” said David Erickson. “I think he was just tired and knew her situation wasn’t going to get any better.”
Experts disagree. Doctor Donna Cohen, a professor in the Department of Aging and Mental Health Disparities at the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute, established the Aging Studies program at the University of South Florida. Noting that caregiving is “almost impossible,” Cohen believes that caregiver stress increases the risk of homicide/suicide. “Murder-suicide,” she argues, “Almost always is not an act of love. It’s an act of desperation.” Although some equate murder-suicide with assisted suicide, Cohen disagrees. “It usually is not the same. This is suicide and murder.”

Claire Erickson’s actions resembled a blueprint that is common in murder-suicides among the elderly. As Dr. Cohen observes, “Some older men try so hard to hold their heads high, to not ask for help with the stress of caregiving, They cope as best they can with a depression they feel but can’t acknowledge.”
According to researchers, although each murder-suicide involving older people is unique, there are certain common elements. A recent study by the Violence Policy Center (http://www.vpc.org/studies/amroul2008.pdf) found that the percentage of murder-suicides involving a firearm is approximately 90 percent; those in which the killers were male, 95 percent; and those involving intimate partners that also occurred in the home, approximately 75 percent each.
To summarize, the components of a murder-suicide are the following:
§ The murderer is male;
§ He uses a gun to commit the crime;
§ He and his victim are intimate partners, often a husband and his wife; and
§ He commits his crime at home.
The VPC study determined that “unique factors may drive murder-suicide among the elderly,” observing that older people rarely commmit suicide, and do so primarily when the declining health of the victim, the murderer, or both is present.
The study cited a Kansas murder-suicide case that is eerily similar to the Ericksons’. The 89-year old husband shot his 88-year old wife while she was lying in their bed; he was found lying next to her with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Neighbors told police that the wife had recently been hospitalized and was very ill.
After analyzing the facts and circumstances of hundreds of these cases, researchers have concluded that there is a pattern that is typical in virtually all murder-suicide cases involving the elderly:
§ The man kills the woman in their bedroom with a gun, something he has planned for weeks and perhaps for months. This means that the act is premeditated, the essential element that the criminal law requires for a conviction of first-degree murder;
§ The woman has Alzheimer’s disease or a related illness. The man, who is the primary caregiver, is depressed, perhaps ill, definitely exhausted and extremely stressed;
§ The woman is rarely a willing or knowing participant, and is usually killed in her sleep; and
§ The man almost always mistakenly believes that his act is a merciful one, that he is putting the woman out of her misery. In fact, however, he is merely bring an end to his own.
Looking back, which we humans can do with perfect vision, perfect clarity, and perfect perception, there may have been multiple opportunities to prevent the horrific Erickson deaths. Experts emphasize the importance of recognizing such omens as a health change in an elderly, long- and happily-married couple. In one study she conducted in Florida, Cohen discovered that fully two-thirds of the men who committed murder-suicide had visited their doctors less than three weeks before the act; none, however, had been treated for depression.
A single 10-minute doctor visit is unlikely to reveal an elderly man’s depression, however. Patrick Arbore, Director of the Center for Elderly Suicide Prevention at the Goldman Institute on Aging, says, “We can’t really pass the buck to the physician here. It’s important for adult children and members of the community to pay attention and to listen–to really listen–to what these older people are saying. Sometimes comments like ‘I’m going to kill myself’ are so provocative that we can’t believe it and let it go by.”
Other factors, such as changes in eating or sleeping, talk about feeling helpless or hopeless, a loss of interest in normal activities–these are signs of depression, according to Dr. Cohen, as is an elderly husband’s remark about the need for [MSOffice1] <a title=Nursing homes at Great Places! rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link/843936']);” href=http://www.greatplacesinc.com/features/NursingHomes.aspx>nursing homes care for his wife “should anything happen to me.”
Experts agree that suspicions demand aggressive action. Cohen, for example, urges an adult child to question her father directly: “Have you ever thought about suicide? Have you thought about killing someone else and then killing yourself?” If the answer is yes–or not an unqualified no–the follow-up question should be about his plans. The more detailed they are, the more likely they will occur.
A reasonable concern about the possibility of murder-suicide should cause an immediate intervention–a call to a suicide crisis center or hotline, an intensive search for weapons in the house, and perhaps an ambulance trip to a medical emergency room or a psychiatric center,
What’s the lesson? Cohen says that “The lesson is to be aware, take the signs seriously, start talking and try to get help. You still may fail, but you will never regret trying.”

Early years
Woodson is the youngest of three siblings, with whom he had close relationships. His father, the late James Woodson, was African-American, and his mother, Linda Jo, is white; they were married providing a stable home for Joe, Jamie and Rod . Woodson attended R. Nelson Snider High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He played defensive back and a variety of offensive skill positions and was all-state his junior and senior seasons. in addition to football, he won both the high and low hurdles state championships in both his junior and senior seasons; and played varsity basketball his junior and senior seasons, making all conference his senior year.
College career
Woodson accepted a full scholarship to play football at Purdue University, in part because of a desire to pursue a degree in electrical engineering. Woodson played primarily as a defensive back and kick returner, but also saw time on offense as a running back and wide receiver. He was named an All-American defensive back in 1985 and 1986, and was a three time All-Big Ten first team selection. In his final collegiate game, Woodson gained over 150 of combined rushing and receiving yards, in addition to making ten tackles and forcing a fumble, leading Purdue to a victory over arch-rival Indiana.
Woodson left Purdue with 13 individual records, notably tying the school record with eleven career interceptions. He currently is ranked in the top ten in career interceptions, solo tackles, total tackles, passes deflected, and kickoff return yardage as a Boilermaker.
In addition to his exploits on the gridiron, Woodson was also an accomplished track and field athlete at Purdue, and twice awarded All-America honors. He currently holds the school records in both the 60 and 110 meter hurdles, events in which he earned five Big Ten championships. In 1984, he qualified for the Olympic Trials in the 100 meter hurdles, but elected to continue his football career in the NFL after graduating from Purdue with a degree in criminal justice.
Woodson was inducted into the Purdue Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame in 2003.
Pro football career
In 1987, Woodson was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers as the 10th overall draft pick. He returned punts and played defensive cornerback for Pittsburgh through the 1996 season. On November 22, 1987 he was listed third on the depth chart in a game against the division rival Cincinnati Bengals played at Cincinnati Riverfront Stadium, Woodson was inserted into the secondary. In the final minute of the second quarter, he recorded his first career interception when he picked off a Boomer Esiason pass.
He was a fan favorite and a banner that hung for years in Three Rivers Stadium stated: “Rod Is God”. A highlight came in 1995 when Woodson became the first player to return from reconstructive knee surgery in the same season. That year he tore his ACL against the Detroit Lions in the first game and returned to play in the Super Bowl XXX between the Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys just 19 weeks later. In that game, he broke up a pass intended for Michael Irvin, hopped up and pointed at his reconstructed knee. In a game against the Houston Oilers, Woodson hit Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon on a cornerback blitz. The hit gave Moon a concussion and forced him to leave the game.
Woodson’s career took a somewhat nomadic turn after free agency from Pittsburgh, after the Rooney family elected not to renew his contract over a pay dispute as well as the salary cap. (The team had a similar dispute with Franco Harris in 1984 and later with Alan Faneca in 2008.) Although he remained to raise his family in Pittsburgh and later made amends with the Rooneys, he hopped between three additional franchises, becoming one of the few modern cornerbacks to successfully make a transition to the safety position, following in the footsteps of Ronnie Lott. Woodson signed with the San Francisco 49ers for the 1997 season, the Baltimore Ravens for the years 1998 to 2001 (where he won Super Bowl XXXV), and the Oakland Raiders for 2002 and 2003 (where he appeared in his third Super Bowl). In the Raiders 2002 Super Bowl season, 37-year old Woodson led the NFL in interceptions (8) for the first time in his career. His last interception came on November 16, 2003 against the Minnesota Vikings Daunte Culpepper.
NFL records and accomplishments
Woodson is among the NFL’s all time leaders in games played as a defensive back and interceptions. In his 17 NFL seasons, Woodson recorded 71 interceptions, 1,483 interception return yards, 32 fumble recoveries (15 offensive and 17 defensive), 137 fumble return yards, 4,894 kickoff return yards, 2,362 punt return yards, and 17 touchdowns (12 interception returns, 1 fumble return, 2 kickoff returns, 2 punt returns). He holds the league record for interceptions returned for touchdowns with 12, and is tied with 11 other players for the record for most fumble recoveries in a single game (3). His 1,483 interception return yards are also an NFL record. His 32 fumble recoveries are a record amongst defensive players. His 71 interceptions rank 3rd all time.
Woodson was named to the Pro Bowl eleven times, a record for a defensive back. He was also the first player to earn trips to the Pro Bowl at cornerback, safety and kick returner. He was named 1993’s NFL Defensive Player of the Year by the Associated Press. He was also a 7 time All-Pro selection. Woodson finished second to Darrell Green in the 1988 NFL Fastest Man Contest.
In 1994, he was named to the NFL’s 75th Anniversary Team. What made it notable was that Woodson was one of only five active players to be named to the team. The others were Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, Reggie White and Ronnie Lott. In 1999, he was ranked number 87 on The Sporting News’ list of the 100 Greatest Football Players. The College Football News has also honored him as one of the 100 greatest players of the 20th century.
In 2007, he was ranked number 22 on USA Today list of the 25 best NFL players of the past 25 years.
It is unlikely that the Steelers will remove Woodson’s number 26 from circulation, however, since the number is currently being worn by longtime cornerback Deshea Townsend, who as of the 2008 season has now played longer with the Steelers than Woodson did. (The team drafted Townsend in 1998 around the same time that Woodson signed with the archrival Ravens, and still had an acrimonious relationship with the Rooneys at the time.) Mel Blount’s number 47 has also conspicuously remained in circulation since his retirement after the 1983 season.
On January 31, 2009, Woodson was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility becoming the 18th Steelers-related person to be enshrined. Woodson named his good friend and business associate Tracy Foster as his presenter. Foster went to Indiana to play basketball for Bob Knight. Foster runs Woodson car dealership in Pittsburgh.
Retirement
Woodson was released by the Oakland Raiders on July 27, 2004 after failing his team physical. His replacement at free safety for the Raiders was Stuart Schweigert, who coincidentally, broke Woodson’s career interception record at Purdue.
He now helps coach the defense at Valley Christian Senior High in Dublin, California along with former Raider John Parrella. Woodson lives in Pleasanton, California with his wife Nickie and their five children . His son, Demitrius, plays safety and wide receiver there as well as kick returner.
Since 1994, Woodson has operated an annual youth football camp, the Woodson/Fabini Football Camp, on the grounds of his former high school. He is also a partner in Woodson Motorsports, a BMW motorcycle dealership and repair shop in Fort Wayne.

Currently Woodson splits his time between NFL Network studios in Los Angeles, his home in Pleasanton, and his cottage in Coldwater, Michigan. He was also part of the studio team for BBC Sport’s NFL coverage in 2007, including Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl XLIII.
Rod Woodson sponsored a charity benefit dinner and auction on July 25, 2009 at the Oakland Coliseum – just two weeks before he entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame. All proceeds went to the Football and Scholarship programs at Valley Christian School, the high school where Rod coaches.

Looking for a relaxing and adventurous get-a-way in a paradise setting? Why not consider dropping anchor in the sizzling blue waters of the Virgin Islands aboard your own private, crewed Yacht Charter? The Virgin Islands are an archipelago of over 40 islands, islets and cays lying to the east of Puerto Rico in the Northeast Caribbean. This enticing destination offers its visitors the opportunity of exploring both U.S. and British islands. While Sailing in the U.S. Virgin Islands, featured islands might include St. Thomas with its bustling harbor, busy cruise ship docks, and abundance of world-class shops. Meanwhile, St. John, its U.S. neighbor lying 2 miles to the east, offers its visitors something completely different with 80% of its land protected within a pristine national park. Here, visitors can wander through Cruz Bay, its one quaint town, hike numerous trails, or explore an abundance of dazzling white sand beaches.
The British Virgin Islands are typically the highlight of a Yacht Charter as these islands offer its visitors the perfect blend of remoteness and Caribbean charm. Guests that have the opportunity of discovering this destination via Sailing in the Virgin Islands aboard a Yacht Charter soon discover why the British Virgin Islands have come to be known as “Natures Little Secret”. While the main island of Tortola offers a central hub, variety of shops, and convenient airport, a majority of any Yacht Charter will be spent island-hopping through the remote outer islands of Norman, Peter, Salt, Cooper, Virgin Gorda, Anegada and Jost Van Dyke. The uniqueness of this vacation lies in the ability to set sail to a new island destination each day, each with its own unique character and charm.
While Sailing in the Virgin Islands, charter guests may opt to: snorkel the Caves at Norman Island, the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Treasure Island” – visit a world-class resort on Peter Island or take in breath-taking views from its many hiking trails – dive or snorkel above the RMS Rhone, just off Salt Island, one of the most spectacular wreck dives in the Caribbean and the setting for the movie “The Deep” watch a remarkable Cooper Island sunset from the deck of your yacht explore “the Bath’s” on Virgin Gorda – huge granite boulders set amongst crystal-clear blue waters and powder white beaches – a must see for any Virgin Island visitor – take an exhilarating sail out to Anegada and walk its endless beaches – and finally, guests may enjoy a toast to the vacation of a lifetime at “Foxy’s Tamarind Bar” the world-famous beach bar on Jost Van Dyke!

Sailing in the Virgin Islands aboard a Yacht Charter is not only surprisingly affordable, but it also serves as an ideal vacation destination for a wide variety of groups. A Yacht Charter in the Virgin Islands is generally referred to as an “all inclusive” vacation where food, beverage, standard bar, the yacht, the professional crew, and onboard water toys are included in the rate. In addition, whether your Yacht Charter group consists of several friends, a group of couples, or a family grouping, Sailing in the Virgin Islands offers something for everyone. After all, the Virgin Islands are touted as the sailing capital of the Caribbean due to the constant trade winds and the close proximity of the islands to one another. These ideal conditions create the perfect backdrop for first-time charterers in search of protected waters and relaxing coves, as well as more experienced sailors in search of daily adventure and of course the perfect sail!
Sailing in the Virgin Islands aboard a Yacht Charter provides an exciting and unique experience for those that choose to discover it. Visitors may choose from a wide variety of featured yachts, including monohulls (traditional sailboats), catamarans and power yachts. Yacht charters provide a luxurious yet intimate setting by a professional crew whose sole desire is to cater to their guests every whim! Private onboard Chefs take great pride in tailoring a gourmet menu based upon each group’s specific preferences and dietary requirements. Professional Charter Captain’s are happy to teach the basics of sailing, let guests take the helm, and share their stories of the high seas. In addition, guests on a Yacht Charter can choose to be as active or laid-back as they like. An abundance of activities await guests, typically including sailing, snorkeling, kayaking, waterskiing, shopping, beachcombing, and perhaps diving. You’ll never run out of things to do while Sailing in the Virgin Islands. However, guests may choose to sit back, relax, take in the splendid view at each new destination, and leave the responsibilities to their professional Captain and crew.
The best time to sail in the Virgin Islands on a Yacht Charter is from early November through late June as this is the typical charter season for most yachts. Many yachts also charter in the months of July and October as these months fall outside of peak hurricane season in the tropics. It should be noted that the most popular yachts fill their charter calendars well in advance so it is recommended that a Yacht Charter vacation is booked at least 6 months in advance.

Without delay across Wall St from Fed Hall Nationwide Commemorative and Without delay across Broad Street from the NY Stock Exchange, this conversion project of 2 commercial structures to luxury condos has the most inspiring Lower Manhattan location. It is composed of the five-story luxury condo at twenty-three The Street that originally was the HQ of J.
P. Morgan’s banking operations and the 42-story office luxury condo that wraps around it and was initially the Equitable Trust luxury condo. A report by David W. Dunlap in the May 11, 2004 copy of The NY Times about the project had the strapline : “Condos, Not Roll-Tops, on Finance’s Holiest Corner.” The luxurious condo at twenty-three Wall St was built in 1914, one year after the passing of J. P. Morgan, which was linked in 1957 to 15 Broad Street. According to Mr. Dunlap’s article, “The luxury apartments were later reworked as HQ of the Morgan Guaranty Trust Company, company forerunner of J. P. Morgan Chase & Company.” twenty-three Wall Street is an official NY Town landmark and in 1998, the NY Stock Exchange meant to raze all the luxury condos on this block with the exception of twenty-three the Street for a new stock exchange and office tower, but that plan was scuttled after the terrorist attacks of Sep 11, 2001. That plan included a design by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill for a 50-story tower diagonally opposite to twenty-three Wall St that had a fascinating glass cover that at random appeared to “drip,” a design later employed by SCLE in similar fashion for a new apartment tower for the William Beaver development 1 or 2 blocks to the south. In 2003, A. I. & Boymelgreen of Brooklyn acquired these two luxury apartments for 0 million and claimed plans to spend about 5 million on their refurbishment and conversion into 326 apartments. Ismael Leyva is the project designer working with Philippe Starck, the French designer celebrated for his design that put furniture with terribly spiky points in the lobby at the Royalton Hotel on West 44th Street. Mr. Bleak also worked on the re-luxury apartment of the Supreme and Hudson Hostels in midtown Manhattan and the Mondrian Hotel in L.A. And the Delano in Miami.

The project’s web site describes Mr. Starck as “the leading exponent of expressionist architecture.” Primary costs for the apartments went from about 5,000 for a studio to about .5 million for a three-bedroom apartment. Mr. Starck is reasonably showy and in Mr. Dunlap’s article he was quoted as pronouncing the project, which ought to have a bowling street, basketball and crush courts, lap pool and a little theater, will embody “honesty, respect, sensitivity, surrealism, poetry, surprise, vision which have no price on the other side of the street.” Residents however, have unfettered access to the roof at twenty-three Wall St where Mr. Starck drew up a garden with trees, teak decking, a giant pool fed “by a tall, crook-shaped pipe, looking like a giant faucet,” and a “topiary wall with window like openings in which lanterns will hang.” The view from the roof is electrifying as it looks immediately at the highly ornamental pediment of the Big Apple Stock Exchange. A 1,900-piece, Louis XV candelabrum that hung in the key banking hall at twenty-three Wall Street was installed in the lobby of the Broad Street luxury condo and Mr. Dunlap’s article noted that it would hover “inches off the floor, with plasma screens showing residents ‘ faces interspersed among the crystals.” 15 Broad Street was designed by Trowbridge & Livingston in 1928. It replaced a luxury apartment that had been occupied since 1891 by Davis, Polk & Wardwell, a legal firm that moved out during its construction but returned and stayed there for another 35 years. The bowling street is in the cellar in space that was once used as a shooting range for the bank’s security guards. Shaya Boymelgreen, the president of LB Lev Leview / Boymelgreen came to the U.S.in 1969 and thereafter set up a book shop, Eichlers, which specialised in Jewish literature. He later sold Eichlers and then went into the diamond business before entering property, beginning with some projects on the Lower East Side and then doing some in Brooklyn.

We figured this would be an interesting place to visit since it brings together architecture, social and industrial history, and it would really give us insight into one of the most interesting personalities of Chicago’s history. Chicago’s name in architecture, began in the 1800s and continues today. If you want to take a walk and see the great architecture of Chicago, there is more than a day’s worth of sites. You can begin with famous buildings by Frank Lloyd Wright (check out the Unity Temple at 875 Lake St) and Louis Sullivan (Visit his famous Carson Pirie Scott flagship on State St). The Monadnock, and Mies van der Rohe’s Post office are also well worth a visit.
If you plan on shopping along Chicago’s famous State Street, the park is just a few blocks east and would be a great end to a day of shopping and sight seeing in Chicago. It’s open daily from 6am – 11pm and admission is always free. Yesterday, after our lovely Austrian breakfast we went downtown to the Chicago Cultural Center, the main downtown information hub for tourists, to ask some questions about the Pullman Historic District, a planned industrial community, built in the 1880s by industrial magnate George Pullman, creator of the famous Pullman sleeper cars. From fun shopping sprees and visiting historic attractions to an evening of fine dining, the mix of Chicago attractions provides the perfect opportunity for the two of you to enjoy each other’s company.

You’ve probably seen Michigan Avenue, also known as The Magnificent Mile (or “Mag Mile) in every movie ever filmed in Chicago, so don’t miss your chance to stroll its wide sidewalks and enjoy all of the world-class shopping and eateries along the way. If you find yourself visiting Chicago on a sunny day, head north along Michigan Avenue and turn onto Lake Shore Drive, a walking and biking path that runs along the lake. Millennium Park is conveniently located in downtown Chicago. The park is bordered by Michigan Avenue to the west, Columbus Drive to the east, Randolph Street to the North and Monroe Street to the South.
Then, get off and take as much time as you want exploring the area. When you are ready, simply board the next trolley until you have seen all of the fantastic sights in Chicago. Taking a trolley to see Chicago attractions gives both of you the opportunity to create personalized Chicago sightseeing tours to match your interests. Ride on one of the many trolleys through the city until you see a sight that interests you.
Have a little extra time on your hands? A double decker tour is a great way to spend an afternoon. Tours depart from the Michigan Avenue area and include a narrated ride throughout downtown. The double decker bus tour is a great way to learn more about the city and its history. If you are staying downtown, you’ll find yourself reciting statistics from the tour in your head as you walk around the local streets.
Chicago sightseeing tours are perfect for spending time together in the city. Things to do in the city can be virtually anything your hearts desire.
